The Polytol® PU resin kit from Otto Bock has received no less than two design awards: The iF material award 2009 and the DESIGN PLUS 2009 award.
In prosthetics, the Polytol® PU resin kit is used to fabricate flexible inner sockets. It is skin-friendly and features high permanent elasticity. The jury evaluated a total of 98 entries from 13 countries for the iF material award 2009 according to the criteria of material selection, processing, innovativeness, environmental compatibility, design quality, functionality, ergonomics and safety.
The Polytol® PU resin kit from Otto Bock and four other submissions received the coveted iF material award in gold during the Hanover trade fair on April 20, 2009. From April 20 to 24, 2009 the Polytol® PU resin kit and other winning products are on display in the “material TRENDS” special exhibition at the Hanover trade fair.
A total of 36 products received the DESIGN PLUS 2009 award and will be presented during the Material Vision trade fair from June 16 through 18 in Frankfurt (hall 4.1).
