The Dorso Osteo Care Orthosis 50R20 is indicated for osteoporotic changes in the thoracic spine and lumbar spine areas as well as the follow-up treatment of vertebral body fractures. Dorso Osteo Care can be applied during the stages of osteoporosis at which muscle activity can still be used and increased.

Muscle Activity is Increased in a Targeted Manner

Particularly in the early stages of osteoporosis, the increase and targeted use of muscle activity is recommended as a bone building stimulus. Through its construction, the Dorso Osteo Care Orthosis supports straightening of the upper body and spine, promoting the day-to-day mobility and activity level of your patient.

The body's centre of gravity is shifted backwards increasing security when standing and moving. The upper body is raised into an upright position by retracting the shoulder girdle and compressing the abdomen. This effect is achieved by the adjustable straps and the adaptable back plate (three-point principle). In this way the Dorso Osteo Care helps to activate the back muscles without restricting abdominal and thoracic breathing. The abdominal panel also gently supports the stomach.

The Dorso Osteo Care helps to train the muscles and promotes bone formation. The risk of falling and the risk of fractures are effectively reduced.

Skin-Friendly Fabrics

The Dorso Osteo Care distinguishes itself through a high level of wearer comfort. The back cushion, abdominal support, and axillary area of the shoulder belt are made of SpaceTex®. SpaceTex® is breathable and has a high restoring force. All fabrics feel pleasantly soft, are skin-friendly and washable. Your patient can put the orthosis on easily, like a backpack, and fastens with a magnetic closure below the chest and a large hook-n-loop closure under the stomach pad. In addition, the Dorso Osteo Care distinguishes itself through its low weight unobtrusive construction.

The Dorso Osteo Care Orthosis is supplied ready for fitting. It consists of a back plate made of coated aluminium and equipped with a removable pad, an abdominal pad, and a special belt system. The back plate and belts are individually adapted to your patient. We offer the Dorso Osteo Care in the sizes S and M.
