Simply insert and lock the auxiliary drive z50 – and right away, your patient can once again cover longer distances and handle slopes without problems. That increases the activity radius and opens up new freedom.

Simply insert and lock the auxiliary drive z50 – and right away, your patient can once again cover longer distances without problems. Depending on arm power and need, he or she can simply turn the z50 on or off using the joystick and move the wheelchair manually when desired. The auxiliary drive increases the patient’s activity radius and opens up newfound freedom.
The z50 automatically contacts itself and can be activated with a joystick using the proven VSI control unit. Its reliable, conventional drive technology is very powerful. The swinging anti-tipper helps to overcome curbs and therefore makes the z50 especially suitable for daily use. This can also be seen by the fact that it can be used in combination with a stair climber.
The wheelchair remains collapsible after the drive wheels are installed. The patented hinge lock makes it possible to disassemble the z50 in just a few easy steps for transportation and changing to standard wheels.
The z50 is operated using maintenance-free gel batteries, achieves a maximum speed of six km/h, and has a range of approximately twelve kilometres. The allowable load is 125 kilograms.
The z50 is not only suitable for converting most of our manual wheelchairs, but also for many other makes. For an overview, please see the following PDF file (link 646k65).
