Simply More Quality for Life: The Otto Bock Mobility System
MOBIS® – The New Otto Bock Mobility System
Our first priority is quality and individuality in the production of modular leg prosthesis. The prosthetist’s choice of correct prosthetic components is a decisive factor for the success of the patient fitting.
MOBIS® – is a further development of the Otto Bock Classification System® introduced in 1994. It focuses on the patient and his or her need for increased quality for life.
Four mobility grades, instead of the familiar three functional classes, now make up the basis of the system. Besides this, an additional weight category was added for people above 125 kg/275 lbs. With the aid of the MOBIS® Symbol, the orthopedic technician can immediately recognize the mobility grade and the weight load for which functional parts like prosthetic feet, knee and hip joints are recommended.
For structural parts like adapters and tube adapters, classification according to the patient’s weight is valid as usual.
