The Lumbo TriStep is a stabilizing orthosis with a mobilizing function. The Lumbo TriStep allows for a systematic rehabilitation process for the lumbar spine by offering individual elements that can be removed depending on the phase of therapy. As the stabilizing function of the Lumbo TriStep is reduced, the patient’s mobility is systematically increased. The aim of the Lumbo TriStep is to restore muscular balance in the lumbar spine region.

The Lumbo TriStep allows for a systematic rehabilitation process for the lumbar spine in three steps, gradually increasing the patient´s mobility and activity levels, while reducing stabilizing and immobilizing effects.

1. Therapy phase:
During the phase of acute pain, it is crucial to secure and stabilize the affected structures of the lumbar spine. The
 Lumbo TriStep causes relatively limited mobility in a lordosis corrected posture.

2. Therapy phase:
In this stage of therapy, the Lumbo TriStep is to work with improved muscle coordination. By removing the four-link
reinforcement element, lordosis of the lumbar spine is almost completely restored. At the same time, the patient’s
freedom of movement is increased. This helps promote muscle function.

3. Therapy phase:
As muscle strength and activity increase, the stabilizing element can be completely removed. The orthosis
compresses and supports the muscles in the lumbar region. In this phase of therapy, a pad may also be used. The
massaging effect of the pad improves blood circulation and promotes muscle function.
