Come see us at the trade fair in Leipzig. We look forward to your visit
in Hall 3 at Booth A 01.

The ORTHOPAEDICS AND REHABILITATION TECHNOLOGY trade fair in Leipzig exceeded expectations right from the start: Eight TV teams and 40 journalists attended the opening press conference with manufacturer representatives such as Prof. Hans Georg Näder – a new record. Over 18,000 people came to inform themselves about medical technology innovations and to develop business contacts. Most of the 20 percent increase in visitors compared to 2006 was made up of professionals.
The Otto Bock exhibition concept, which focuses on interactive forms of presentation under the motto “Experience Competence” in addition to numerous new products, has proven itself once again. Among more than 30 Otto Bock innovations, the prototype of the first mind-controlled arm prosthesis in the world and the first polycentric hip joint system Helix3D elicited a lot of interest as did antibacterial Skinguard® technology and PAULA software for the selection of arm prosthesis system components.
Anyone who did not go to Leipzig really missed out. But wait, there’s more: Most of what was said in the well-attended Otto Bock forums has been recorded on this homepage in the form of podcasts. These mostly consist of highly practical presentations that supplemented the largely medical focus of the trade fair.
Other highlights of the event: Peter Maffay arrived for the launch of the Otto Bock Foundation’s donation drive “Give Children a Future” and pledged his personal support. A packed audience also followed the exciting discussion regarding the technical opportunities and risks of Paralympic sports. Naturally, the decision in favour of Oscar Pistorius reached just a few days earlier by the Court of Arbitration for Sport was at the centre of the debate.
We would like to invite you to a belated visit of the successful ORTHOPAEDICS AND REHABILITATION TECHNOLOGY 2008 trade fair with our podcast offering.
