Otto Bock Group

The Otto Bock group of companies consists of Otto Bock HealthCare (medical technology), Otto Bock Kunststoff and Technogel (chemistry), and Sycor (information and communication technology).
The third-generation, family-run business is firmly supported by these three pillars in the most important global growth markets.

Technogel was formed in 1998 from a joint venture of Royal Medica with Otto Bock Kunststoff GmbH. Royal Medica had already been taking advantage of the promising possibilities of the Technogel material since 1990. The advantages of Technogel were enhanced by additional functions in the course of cooperation. After the company discovered medical technology as well as the furniture and footwear industries for itself, not to mention that the innovative material even found applications in designer items and works of art, Technogel is focusing on applications in the bedding industry today. Mattresses and pillows are produced in combination with Technogel.

Founded in 1998, the Sycor Group as a full-range IT service provider covers the entire spectrum of information and communications technology today. With almost 500 employees worldwide and locations in Germany and Asia as well as North and South America, Sycor provides its services around the world. Sycor focuses on SMEs and primarily provides SAP® ERP and Microsoft Dynamics AX services. The company also develops custom quality-assured solutions in the fields of telecommunication, archiving and enterprise content management, e-commerce, IT outsourcing and networks. This is complemented by expertise in software asset management and license management and special services for life sciences, insurance, retail and industrial enterprises.
