Amy McColm - Orthotics Academy Clinician
About Me
I graduated from the University of Strathclyde with a BSc (hons) Prosthetics and Orthotics in 2014. Before starting with Otto Bock I worked for Blatchford for just over 5 years. I started off as a graduate Orthotist in Sheffield before moving to Cumbria to cover their community clinics in the Lake District. In 2015 I moved to London to cover the clinics in the South East where I helped to develop the Spinal Fracture Pathway and Ulceration Guide at Northwick Park Hospital. In 2018 I was promoted to Clinical Lead at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham where I managed the orthotic service, working closely with the NHS to develop and improve the service provided by Orthotics. Most recently, I have completed my mental health first aid training, working with both patients and other members of staff to encourage discussions around mental health and personal wellbeing. I am now working as an Academy Clinician and Orthotist with Ottobock, covering the South and working in clinics around London.
