Heel relief orthosis

With the heel relief orthosis, you regain your mobility quickly and can return to your accustomed everyday life – with no need for crutches.

Your heel floats in the orthosis thanks to its unique design. Special sole and pressure build-up pads gradually increase the load on the heel bone. This promotes and considerably speeds up the healing process. The heel relief orthosis makes a largely physiological gait pattern possible.

Sporty shoe design

The sporty shoe design of the heel relief orthosis makes it inconspicuous to wear.

Free-floating heel

The orthotics and prosthetics professional (O&P professional) positions the inner element in the middle of the foot. As a result, the heel floats free in the orthosis, providing relief for the injured heel bone.

Gradual load increase on the heel

Three pressure build-up pads and one sole pad gradually increase the load on the heel. This allows it to be adapted to your treatment course and promotes healing.

More comfortable heel strike

The step rubber of the heel relief orthosis provides comfortable damping for heel strike.

Flexible rollover sole for a nearly natural gait pattern

The flexible sole at the front of the foot permits a nearly natural rollover for patients, preventing malpositions and secondary damage.

Floating heel provides relief

The floating heel principle is unique. It provides relief for your heel, which floats about 1 cm above the sole. In addition to relief, this results in early mobilisation and a favourable healing process.

Optimum follow-up treatment with a proven treatment plan

The German Society for Orthopaedics and Trauma explicitly recommends the heel relief orthosis for follow-up treatment after a heel bone fracture.

Promoting healing

Padding in the heel area promotes bone healing. Sole and pressure build-up pads are used to easily build up contact on the heel and permit the load to be increased gradually

Virtually natural gait

The orthosis permits a nearly natural rollover of the foot and makes walking more comfortable. This activates the muscle pumps, prevents muscle atrophy and reduces the risk of thrombosis.
