We are also facing challenges due to the global spread of coronavirus. But our employees and recruiters are still there for you during the coronavirus crisis – true to our company values “human, reliable, inventive”!

We are looking to the future and think this crisis can also be an opportunity for our recruiting. The current situation is the perfect time to make our application process more digital. After all, we do not necessarily have to meet face to face to get to know each other better. At the moment, we are conducting interviews only by telephone or video conference, and the first assessment centres are also running digitally as well. In addition to preventing risks to the health of our employees and applicants, the online recruiting process also offers many additional advantages:

  • We can speed up the application process because meetings can be scheduled more quickly and flexibly.

Can I still apply to Ottobock right now despite the coronavirus crisis?

Yes. We are continuing to fill all our job openings. On our career portal, you can find all our current vacancies.

Can I still apply for the advertised training positions and cooperative courses of study?

Absolutely! On-the-job training is very important at our company, and has been a tradition here for many years. For this reason, we will be filling all our advertised training positions again this year.

Is it still possible to apply for an internship or work-study position at Ottobock?

Yes, we are still taking on interns and working students. At the following link, you will find all our open internships and work-study positions.

Can I submit an unsolicited application to your company at present?

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept unsolicited applications due to the current situation. You can find numerous job openings here.

Is there a risk that I could miss the beginning of my training due to the coronavirus crisis?

As things currently stand, all training and cooperative study courses are set to start as planned on 1 September.

I will be starting work at Ottobock soon. Will there be a digital onboarding process?

We will do everything we can to make your start with us as comfortable as possible. Our employees will be putting a great deal of work and creative ideas into setting up a virtual induction process for you and will actively help you integrate into your respective team.

I recently applied to Ottobock. What will the rest of the application process involve?

If you are invited to take part in an interview, this will take place by phone as usual. Our follow-up conversations with you will also be held online rather than in person. We are using this approach to protect both you and ourselves in this exceptional situation.

Induction and development

  • The first feedback sessions with your manager are held after two, four and six months.
