History

Dynamic growth

The Otto Bock name has represented innovation and entrepreneurial success for more than 90 years.
The Austrian location was founded in 1969 in Salzburg.

The establishment and rapid growth of Ottobock’s Austrian location are based on the success story of its German parent company. Company founder Otto Bock and his son-in-law Dr.-Ing. E.h. Max Näder defined and pursued the key factors of innovation, international acceptance and a globally positioned company from the very start.

Professor Hans Georg Näder assumed responsibility for the Otto Bock Group as its President and CEO in 1990. His authentic leadership style balances a down-to-earth approach, tradition and progress. He expressly emphasises fundamental values such as trust and reliability in dealing with customers and staff. At the same time, Professor Näder’s visionary strength sets the course for the company over the medium and long term. Curiosity and playfulness are his driving forces.
