Change in top management

CFO Stefan Ingildsen leaves Ottobock

Duderstadt, Germany. Stefan Ingildsen (48) is leaving the company by his own request for family reasons. He assumed the position of CFO on 1 February 2016.

The Danish manager is returning to his family in Copenhagen, where he will be accepting new career challenges.

Harry Wertz is taking over as the interim CFO. Otto Bock Holding GmbH & Co. KG, which holds 80% of the shares in the international med-tech company, will appoint a new CFO in close cooperation with the private equity company EQT (20% of the shares) and the future CEO Dr Oliver Scheel. Dr Scheel (49) is scheduled to take up his new post on 15 January 2018.

“I am extremely pleased that Harry Wertz is taking over the CFO role temporarily, notwithstanding his future focus on the holding company, until we find the best candidate to fill this position,” says Professor Hans Georg Näder, President of Otto Bock Holding. “Stefan Ingildsen made an important contribution to Ottobock’s development. I would like to express my sincere appreciation to him for that, and wish him all the best for the future.”
