Ottobock offering training positions for 2017

Ottobock is currently advertising openings for training positions starting in August 2017. The company is looking to fill a total of 28 positions in the commercial, technical and industrial areas. A new training web page has been developed to make it easier for those interested in a training position to access information about the company and the various careers. The web page outlines the individual application steps as well as the key features of the different trainee positions. Questions can be forwarded directly to the appropriate contact or to other trainees. Applications for training courses, for example as an orthopaedic technology mechanic, industrial manager or cutting machine operator can still be submitted up to 30 September 2016 via the following portal: www.ottobock.com/ausbildung. “We’re delighted to have the opportunity to offer so many new positions again next year, particularly as we have been able to take on a large number of our graduates and have just welcomed a new group of trainees,” says Stefanie Senhen, head of training at Otto Bock HealthCare GmbH.

On 4 August 2016, Ottobock graduated a total of 13 trainees and students on the dual study course, who have thus successfully completed their training. For eleven of them, this was just their first step at Ottobock. They have been taken on in their respective departments and will start careers as orthopaedic technology mechanics, machine and plant operators and sound and image media designers at the company headquarters in Duderstadt and Göttingen.

The new trainees were then welcomed to the company the same week, and got to know their new colleagues and the company during a three-day orientation programme. The six women and 26 men are now beginning their training in one of 13 training professions this year, and will continue to do so for the next two to three and a half years.
