Ottobock Academy starts online training platform

Free clinical learning content for orthopaedic technicians

The Ottobock Global Academy is now offering free e-learning modules, videos and tutorials for clinical and technical personnel to continue training in orthopaedic technology and therapy during the corona crisis.

Orthopaedic technicians, therapists as well as other clinical experts can choose from a wide range of digital courses covering topics such as anatomy, biomechanics or fabrication skills

“Especially during the time of the corona pandemic, it is important to support our worldwide customers in the best possible way. We now offer our well-known, comprehensive clinical learning program digitally, without access restrictions, via an online training portal. By doing this, we ensure that the education can be continued globally, independent of time or place,” explains Christiane Rauch, Head of the Global Academy.

The online platform offers three training options:

  • E-learning for Ottobock products and orthopaedic, clinical and therapy know-how
  • Educational videos explaining Ottobock products and therapeutic approach in orthopaedic technology
  • Live online sessions with focus on prosthetics, orthotics, materials and therapy.

Contents such as “Clinical gait analysis & intervention” or “Gait training with MPKs” offer the possibility to refresh, enhance knowledge or even discover new topics. Beyond that, the Live online sessions will connect participants on a global level – they can share their experiences, exchange questions and thus increase their skills.

“Knowledge and education are key factors in our field of medical technologies. With the online training platform from the Ottobock Global Academy our customers stay up to date regarding our products, and enhance their technical and clinical skills with the latest therapeutic approaches,” explains Katrin Riemann, Digital Learning Manager of the Global Academy.
