Elias Romero

He was born with a myelomeningocele, also called Spina bifida. At the age of eight he started to do table tennis sitting in a wheelchair.

Table tennis is a passion

In 2006 he began to go to a Saturday-Sports-School in Cedima, Argentina. They were offering different kinds of sports to try out: Basketball, athletics and table tennis.

Table tennis caught his interest so much, that he started to train three times a week and become a professional Para table tennis player.

Top ten in the world is his goal

Now, he is under the top 20 players in the world in his classification (Men's singles Class 5), he won the bronze medal at the Parapan American Games in Lima in 2019 and wants to improve to finish among the top 10 in the world in the next years.
