Running Clinics

Running with a sport prosthesis for the first time, achieving a personal best in a sprint or a marathon or simply being able to join friends or children to play and be active – everyone has their own reasons for participating in an Ottobock Running Clinic.

Ottobock Running Clinics are the brain child of Heinrich Popow, who won gold at the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Paralympic Games. To date more than 25 have been held in locations all around the world.

Participants range from beginners to experienced runners, who support and encourage each other with expert coaching from Heinrich.

They can use their own equipment or trial the Ottobock 3S80 running knee and Runner or Sprinter running blades, with prosthetists experienced at working with athletes available to fit the equipment and provide advice.

Heinrich’s naturally hands-on and engaging style is infectious. Beginners quickly build confidence and surprise themselves with how soon they are taking their first steps. He creates an environment where all level of runners work together and as a result everyone leaves with a sense of accomplishment and a new lease of life.
