Alessandro Ossola

Alessandro Ossola from Italy lost his left leg after a motorbike accident in 2015. Sport has always been a very strong motivation for him to keep going forward.

Para athletics gives him satisfaction

Alessandro was a semi-professional futsal player before his motorbike accident. It did not take too long for him to realise, that his missing leg is no reason for being inactive. So he started to play golf and went snowboarding.

Then he tried out para athletics and found out, that this sport gives him a great satisfaction. Alessandro focusses on the 100 metre sprint: in Bydgoszcz 2021 he won the bronze medal in the World Para Athletics European Championship .
