Amanda Cerna

She was born with a malformation of her left arm, but this never stopped her from being active in sports.

After trying several kind of sport she decided for athletics

When she was five years old, she started to do sports. She did rhythmic gymnastics, soccer and handball until she was eleven years old.

Then she turned to athletics and found her sport which she loves the most.

Ambitious for more

At the age of 18 she competed at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games and finished on fourth place at the 400 metres run in her T47 classification.

Three years later, at the Parapan American Games in Lima 2019, she won the silver medal in the T47 400 metre race.

Her training focused on the Paralympic Games in Tokyo, where she achieved the top ten in the 400 metres event.
