Ottobock Botschafter

Vinicius Rodrigues

He had a motorcycle accident when he was 19 years old. Right away he wanted to get back to sports.

Obsession for Para Athletics

After his accident and the amputation of his left leg, he heard of Heinrich Popow. His positive attitude concerning sport with a leg amputation and his success at the Paralympic Games in London 2012 and his passion about inspiring people, brought Vinicius to the decision: "I want to be like him".

At the Running Clinic in Brazil 2013, he met Heinrich and ran on a sports prosthesis for the first time. Since then he has been obsessed with Para athletics and sprinting and trains hard to get better.

"As an Ottobock ambassador it is very important to me to motivate and inspire others with a disability to do sports"
