Ankle gaiter

The ankle gaiter is compatible with the Evanto prosthetic foot when used with the standard-width 2C8 footshell. If your Evanto was supplied with the 2C8=*S slim footshell, you will need to order a standard-width 2C8 footshell.

The ankle gaiter is also compatible with selected feet from the Taleo product family — Taleo, Taleo Low Profile, Taleo Side Flex, Taleo Adjust and Taleo Adapt — when used with the standard-width 2C8 footshell.

If your Taleo prosthetic foot was supplied with a 2C15 or 2C8=*S slim footshell, you will need to order a standard-width 2C8 footshell.

The ankle gaiter helps prevent splashes of water, sand and dirt from getting inside the footshell. This gives users greater freedom to enjoy everyday activities, from taking a longer shower to walking on the beach, without worrying about unwanted debris entering the footshell.

The ankle gaiter does not provide complete protection against water ingress when the prosthetic foot is submerged. However, it helps prevent sand and dirt from entering the prosthetic foot with the water during submersion.

If the prosthetic foot has been submerged with the ankle gaiter fitted, it should be cleaned and thoroughly dried afterwards. Please ask your Prosthetist to show you how to clean and dry your prosthetic foot safely.

Important: Do not submerge the prosthetic foot if it is not approved for use in water.

No, the ankle gaiter will need to be fitted by a Prosthetist as it is bonded to the tube adapter. The stirrup that goes under the footshell can be moved so that you are able to remove the footshell for cleaning.
