WalkOn Trimable
People with permanent drop foot depend on a device that lifts their foot while walking.
This is precisely what the WalkOn Trimable does. It helps to elevate the foot during the swing phase, making the gait safer again while reducing the risk of stumbling and falling. The tip of the foot no longer gets caught as easily on small obstacles or uneven ground.
The ankle-foot orthosis is made of a modern carbon fibre prepreg material which is very lightweight. A carbon spring at the back extends from the Achilles tendon to the calf. For users with residual musculature, the WalkOn Trimable provides support while walking. The orthosis releases previously stored energy at toe-off so the gait becomes smoother. The ankle joint is stabilised at the same time.

WalkOn Trimable – inconspicuous support
The WalkOn Trimable enhances your safety by supporting and lifting your foot during the swing phase while walking. This reduces the risk of catching the tip of your foot on carpet edges or uneven ground, for example.
The special material stores energy when you step down with the heel and releases it again during the rollover movement of the foot. This makes walking more natural for you – regardless of whether you walk slow or fast, or how much weight you put on the foot.
You move entirely naturally with the WalkOn Trimable during the day. When you crouch down or climb stairs, for example, you can put a natural load on the forefoot. The WalkOn Trimable is perfectly suited for many everyday situations.
The WalkOn Trimable is lightweight, slim and discreet under clothing. A removable calf pad makes it even more comfortable for you.
The orthosis fits in any shoe that provides support. You only need to make sure that the shoe has a reinforced heel. To put on the orthosis, position the WalkOn Trimable in the shoe and then slide your foot in.
The WalkOn Trimable is especially robust. It has proven its durability in tests and long-term functional testing.

Answers for you
How do I put on the WalkOn Trimable?
We recommend that you place the orthosis into the shoe first and then insert your foot. Then you can simply fasten the hook-and-loop closures.

No, but you should select a sturdy shoe with a reinforced heel. It is important that the orthosis fits firmly so that it moves as little as possible. We also recommend a heel height of 10 mm; alternatively this can be determined by your technician. An additional pair of shoes should of course have the same heel height.
Is it possible to play sports with the WalkOn Trimable?
Yes, in fact it is recommended that you are active. Speak to your orthotist to get their advice on which sports are the most beneficial and how to make the best use of your orthosis. You should however avoid extreme and abrupt movements.
How do I care for the WalkOn Trimable?
The orthosis should be wiped regularly using water and a mild cleaning agent. We recommend washing the pad at least twice a week (machine washable at 40 °C).

Replacement pads can of course be ordered through your orthotist. He or she adapts the pads for you personally to ensure they fit.
