The armrests are easy to adjust in 5 positions via push button. Headrest with high-resilience foam and breathable cover. The head support can be adjusted in 2 directions – height and depth.
Five predefined positions of elevating leg support for symmetrical positioning. The leg support is easy to release & adjust.
The resting position is perfect for a break or a short nap. By combining seat angle tilt, adjustable back recline and height adjustable footrests, an almost flat position can be adjusted in no-time.
The seat and back support are anatomically fitted to guarantee a comfortable sitting position for long periods. The covers are easy to clean and provide a hygienic surface.
Tilting via gas spring from -5° to 30° is a standard feature for the Start Multi. It can be released with hand lever at the push handles.
Back recline continuously adjustable via gas spring from 90° to 120°. Easy release with hand lever.
Seat cushion and backrest
Ergonomic seat cushion and backrest set a new standard for comfort. The elevating leg supports flexibly cater to individual needs. Additionally, the Start Multi features an adjustable head support, adjustable arm support, a pelvic belt for safety and proper positioning, and two anti-tippers for maximum safety during use. It is easy to operate, both for users and caregivers.
Anti-tipper
The swiveling support wheel can be folded in and out as needed. When the support wheel is unfolded, the wheelchair is tip-resistant. When it is folded, the wheelchair can be tilted, for example to overcome curbs.
Abductor
A hip abductor, or pommel, is indicated for people who need support to keep their legs in a comfortable position. It provides the ideal position of abduction of the hip joint, respecting the anatomy of the narrower angle proximally and wider distally. The hardware can be selected in two version: fixed and removable. The abductor pad allows adjustments in multiple planes and angles for more natural fit and comfort.
