Plaster drying oven

Efficient plaster drying combined with high quality

The plaster drying oven is unlike any other in the world. It can dry plaster models faster and save more energy in the process by using the principle of condensation. As a result, orthopaedic workshops can substantially reduce the costs incurred during the fabrication of orthopaedic components such as prosthetic sockets. At the same time, it features high-quality workmanship, a functional design and more convenience.

The drying time is reduced by almost half! A comparative test has shown that the plaster drying oven takes 13 hours to dry test plaster models. By contrast, the convection oven requires a drying time of 24 hours. The test was carried out on six plaster models made of alabaster modelling plaster with a weight of 4 kg each and a plaster-to-water mixing ratio of 1:1.5.

The new Ottobock plaster drying oven is like no other in the world. It can dry plaster models faster and more energy-efficiently using the principle of condensation. Success through a shorter drying time

The drying time is reduced by almost half! A comparative test has shown that the new plaster drying oven takes only 13 hours to dry test plaster models. By contrast, the infrared convection oven requires a drying time of 24 hours for the same quantity and the same material.*

Positive feedback from practitioners

"The new oven dries much faster," says Gerben Dokter, workshop manager of the orthopaedic company Gardeslen. "We can have our plaster models dried in just one night – every night. Our weekly planning is now considerably more flexible and we save time."
