mHand Adapt

The mHand must be used with a glove in order to protect the hand and provide grip. There are two different glove options, mHand Skin and My Skin move.

The mHand Adapt has a patented mechanism that allows opening and closing via pressure on the wrist. This eliminates the need for a cable, shoulder strap or second hand for operation.

The mHand Adapt closes by simply pressing it against a surface, like a steering wheel, or by pushing an object into the palm of the hand. The harder you press, the stronger the grip becomes. Its adaptive fingers automatically conform to the shape of the object, ensuring a secure hold every time.

Once closed, the hand stays firmly in place without requiring continuous input. To release, just press again and the hand opens with the same intuitive motion. The thumb’s position can be easily adjusted, either laterally or in opposition, to suit different grip needs.

Thanks to its flexible design, the mHand Adapt can be quickly disengaged in emergency situations, adding an extra layer of safety.

Until now, prosthetic users had to choose between four main types of arm prostheses: interchangeable tools, non-functional cosmetic hands, body-powered hooks or hands operated by shoulder harnesses, and myoelectric hands controlled by muscle signals. The mHand Adapt combines the key advantages of all these systems into one innovative solution.

With its lifelike appearance, thanks to a cosmetic glove, and patented mechanism, the mHand Adapt is ready for use within minutes. It offers intuitive control: you can feel and regulate how tightly you grip an object, while the adaptive fingers flex naturally to fit various shapes.

Unlike traditional body-powered systems, the mHand Adapt requires no
shoulder harness. And because of its lightweight it can be worn all day without fatigue.

The mHand Adapt works best for activities that require two hands.
