These manual wheelchairs are designed to maximise mobility and independence in everyday life and to compensate for disability. Every wheelchair for active use can and must be adapted to the requirements of the user. For example, the back support is often height-adjustable. In addition to the rigid frame models, folding wheelchairs for active use are also available. Ottobock offers several wheelchair series for active use, such as the Motus , Zenit and Avantgarde lines as well as the Ventus model. For some models, a power pushing aid is available for support, which is mounted behind the wheelchair and offers the user greater distance range and comfort.
