Active use wheelchairs

The extent to which children require care is considerably different from that of adults. Devices for children have to grow with the child and need to be individually adaptable and versatile in their use. They provide everyday support and ensure maximum mobility. Choosing the correct devices can also prevent additional malformations. That’s why all products in the Kimba range were developed and tested in cooperation with doctors, therapists and users – to support children and families around the world.
The product range includes five seating shell mobility bases and one seating unit. The seating unit is easy to put on and remove from any mobility base. This makes it an appropriate solution for almost any everyday situation.

Every wheelchair user has individual needs and challenges in their everyday lives. With more than 2.4 million configuration possibilities, the appeal of the Avantgarde lies in its incredible diversity and flexibility – combined with proven Ottobock quality. The Invader rigid-frame wheelchair is characterised by its sporty frame shape combined with exceptional sturdiness and a low weight. The wheelchair for active use is custom-made, meaning it is completely unique and fits the user perfectly.

Seating

The Baxx back support, which is divided into the aluminium (AL) back series and the aluminium flat top (AFT) back series, provides posterior as well as lateral support for the upper body. Five back lengths and three back contours (depths) as well as eleven back widths are available to choose from. This means there are over 160 possible combinations available to serve individual requirements. A special highlight is being able to freely select the colour of the back support.
The back support system is designed for mounting on a broad range of Ottobock as well as third-party wheelchairs.

The Pointer club sport wheelchair is particularly well suited for recreational sport and offers a comprehensive range of settings and options to meet the requirements of any athlete. For example, the seat height, lower leg length and centre of gravity can all be individually adjusted. Furthermore, the Pointer complies with IWAS regulations. This sports wheelchair is therefore suitable for basketball, tennis and badminton.

The Zenit onn F and Zenit onn R are available in lightweight aviation specification aluminum or carbon fibre composite. The Zenit onn F models feature the Easy-Go folding system, which combines the flexibility of a folding wheelchair with the look and performance of a rigid frame. The Zenit onn F CLT version has welded-on components while keeping the weight the lowes possible.
