The Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games take place in the heart of the Italian Alps and mark the 50th anniversary of the first Winter Paralympics held in 1976. From 6 to 15 March 2026, the mountain venues of Lombardy and Veneto serve as dynamic arenas for resilience, speed, and precision. More than 650 athletes from over 45 nations compete across 79 medal events, demonstrating their mastery in Para alpine skiing, Para biathlon, Para cross-countryskiing, Para icehockey, Para snowboard and wheelchaircurling.
As the most prestigious gathering in winter para sport, Milano Cortina 2026 stands as a defining moment in the Paralympic movement and a powerful tribute to five decades of sporting progress and inclusion. With breathtaking alpine settings, innovative venues, and a strong commitment to accessibility, the Games embody human determination and the unifying spirit of winter sport.
Ottobock at Milano Cortina 2026.
An international team of 86 O&P professionals, wheelchair technicians and welders will be working for Ottobock during the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games. Fully equipped Repair Service Centers are set up in the three Paralympic Villages – Milano, Predazzo and Cortina. These Repair Service Centers offer athletes repair and maintenance service to wheelchairs, prostheses, orthoses and sports equipment free of charge so they can focus fully on their competitions.
In addition to the three main workshops, emergency workshops will be set up at all six sports venues to ensure fast and reliable on-site support during the competitions as well.
