The knee joint is remarkably easy to handle for processing and maintenance. It can be processed using lamination and prepreg techniques as well as the thermoplastic technique or as a bar-clamp device. Sustainable, reusable steel dummies are available.

- The joint has a ball bearing and runs smoothly. It has remarkably low flexion resistance.
- The 17KF213 extension wedge set can be used to adjust the extension stop on the Nexgear posterior knee simply and conveniently to 5°, 10°, 15° and even -5°. In factory condition, the joint contains a 0° stop.
- The joint is low-noise. At the end stop in the terminal stance phase this is achieved thanks to the integrated damper.
- A sustainable dummy concept with reusable steel dummies creates less waste.
