Where can I try out a Genium X3?

Many practitioners offer trial fittings which take place over a predetermined period of time and are monitored by Ottobock when needed. Just talk to your prosthetist for more details.

How long does it take to learn how to use the Genium X3?

Many users are able to take stairs step-over-step on their first day with the Genium X3 prosthesis. However, it can also take several days or even weeks for users to completely acclimate to using it in everyday situations depending on their unique condition and circumstances.

What’s included in a Genium X3 prosthetic fitting?

A prosthetic fitting includes all components from the foot to the knee joint system, including the socket, which will all be customized to your individual needs by your orthopedic technician.The assembly and setup of the system are also included, as well as regular service inspections during the entire period you use the Genium X3.

What is the battery life of the Genium X3?

Thanks to intelligent energy management, the Genium X3 has a battery capacity of five days when fully charged. However, we recommend charging the prosthesis every night.

What happens when the battery is drained?

A vibration signal notifies the user well in advance when the battery starts getting low. When it’s drained, the Genium X3 automatically switches to a predefined safety mode so that the user’s preferred resistance in the stance phase is activated.

Can I use the Genium X3 in wet conditions, such as showering or swimming?

Yes! The Genium X3 is waterproof and corrosion resistant. With a rating of IP68, it can be fully submerged even in strong jets of salt or chlorinated water without losing any functionality.

Fully waterproof

Special materials, coatings and components protect the Genium X3 against even strong jets of salt, fresh or chlorinated water. As a result, the prosthesis can be fully submerged without losing functionality, allowing users to shower, swim and work in wet environmental conditions.

Support for users’ favourite activities

MyMode Plus offers a fantastic selection of activity mode options for work, leisure and athletics. Together with their O&P professional, users can select up to five settings which they can easily activate in the Cockpit app or via a movement pattern.
