The function and design of customised support elements are being continuously improved. The good thing is that we have materials such as titanium to support this trend. With just very small dimensions, titanium bars can withstand great forces and give users the necessary stability. The bad thing is that these materials are difficult to process.
Ottobock’s bending apparatus for titanium rods is the perfect solution for easy processing. Due to its long lever and solid design, even titanium bars can be bent and shaped with deceptive ease. Even difficult S curves are easy to make with this device. Due to the concentrated power, all bars can be precisely bent to the desired shape. And the process is much faster and involves less surface damage than with conventional tools.

Thanks to the perfect-fit recess, the prosthetic components can be tightly clamped and machined precisely without any play. The position of the recesses on the upper and side edges of the vice jaws allows for both horizontal and vertical clamping of the workpiece.
In contrast to standard vice jaws, this version features a smooth surface to prevent damage to the pyramid adapter. After use, the magnetic vice jaws can be easily removed by hand and the vice immediately used for other purposes.

With the plaster modelling aid, processing plaster models quickly and efficiently is a snap. Continuous clamping and reclamping of the plaster model is now a thing of the past. The advantages to you are readily apparent: you can optimise your fabrication process, save time and make your daily work easier.

With hydronetic lumeo, an impression can be taken of the residual limb and a transtibial interim socket can be manufactured during a single visit – completely without plaster and with minimal workshop equipment.
Instead of plaster, resin-impregnated lumeo casting socks are used to take the impression. They are moulded under full load with hydrostatic pressure and cure under UV light at the touch of a button.
This type of impression maps the soft tissue situation, bony structures and scar tissue under load. The result is a glass fibre-reinforced interim socket with a good fit. It can then be thermoplastically re-shaped, sanded and built up in a conventional manner.
The interim socket connects seamlessly to a digital supply chain using TransferScan.
hydronetic lumeo can be combined with various liner systems. It can be used both stationary and mobile, making it ideal for flexible day-to-day treatment.
