Feeling secure is easy with the Kenevo microprocessor knee from Ottobock. Designed specifically to support moderate and changing mobility levels, it provides proven stability to help users move forward and live their lives more freely.
It all starts with the key reliability features these users need most. With Stumble Recovery Plus, the risk of falling is significantly reduced. Users can transition safely from standing to sitting and back, use a cane, walker, or wheelchair as needed — and so much more.
Three built-in, progressive activity modes enable the Kenevo to “grow” with users as they develop their skills during physical therapy or while undergoing rehabilitation after an amputation. So whether they’re working to reclaim their independence after surgery or simply building confidence for everyday activities, the Kenevo has them covered.

Stability in every step
The Kenevo automatically detects when users start to sit or stand, mirroring their speed to keep them stable and in control during the transition. With no manual adjustments needed, their hands are free to use a chair or walking aid for support as desired.
The Kenevo provides uncompromising safety to support users in a standing position. In activity modes A and B, the joint automatically locks in the stance phase. And in mode C, the intuitive stance function keeps users stable even if the knee is flexed.
The Kenevo is fine-tuned to support users with walkers, canes, or other assistive devices. Plus, with one hand movement, the wheelchair function locks the knee in a slightly outstretched position to keep the leg off the ground so users can maneuver safely.
A wide variety of safety features help ensure Kenevo users can walk safely — including on uneven terrain, down stairs and ramps, or even stepping backward. For example, Stumble Recovery Plus gives users time and support to avoid a fall if they stumble.
As the knee bends, resistance increases to support and control the user’s descent. This improves stability and supports mobility, both indoors and outside.
Kenevo users can exercise without compromising safety or comfort. The joint automatically switches functions to support stationary indoor cycling as the user sits and starts pedalling — and back again as they get off the bike when finished.
With the manual locking function, the Kenevo can be conveniently secured in the extended position by a simple tapping pattern, even when using a cover. This offers users with low mobility additional stability in situations where increased safety is needed.
The new training feedback function means physiotherapists can gain valuable insights into their patients movement execution, enabling tailored tips and guidance during therapy sessions. Through the Kenevo ABC app and Cockpit connect app, acoustic signals can be selected for some, or all of each patients selected movement patterns. The Kenevo will then make a sound to notify that a patient has performed the movement correctly.
With the Cockpit app, users can fine tune settings individually, check their battery life, activate the intuitive stationary indoor bicycle function, and more — all via their iOS or Android smartphone.
Putting on the Kenevo is easier than ever thanks to complete flexion of the knee joint. Plus, it can now be charged without removing the foam cover. Just a couple of ways Kenevo users get more time — and less stress — back in their day.
Kenevo is now available for users with a body weight of up to 150 kg. This expands the application possibilities and enables even more people to benefit from the proven stability and innovative technology of our MPK!
