Summary Statement

The Warehouse Supervisor oversees all warehouse activities pertaining to Inbound receiving and outbound shipping such as, unload, unpack, verify, put away, picking, Quality checking, packaging, preparing, and partnering with freight providers for domestic and/ or international shipments in order to ensure on-time delivery to our customers. The  Warehouse Supervisor will hire and train new employees, assign work, evaluate individual reports, and resolve performance issues along with troubleshooting warehouse operational concerns. 

Shift: 12:00 PM-8:30PM, M-F, Louisville, KY

Duties & Responsibilities

• Meets warehouse operational standards by contributing warehouse information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying warehouse system improvements.
• Accomplishes warehouse human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
• Executes directives provided by the Logistics Manager on continuous improvement including, but not limited to, implementing work methods and procedures to increase productivity and improving service levels
• Ensure safety programs are followed and implemented in order to provide a safe and clean workplace for employees
• Other duties as needed

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience in a high volume distribution center operation
• 3+ years of experience in receiving and material handling including dangerous goods
• Prior supervisory experience preferred
• Good communication skills required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Able to operate forklifts
• Ability to coach and develop staff
• Customer focused and collaborates with different departments within the company
• High school Diploma or GED
• Successful clearing of background and drug screening
• Must be able to work shift of 12:00 PM-8:30PM, M-F
