Prosthetic & Orthotic Services

Prosthetic & Orthotic Services

In our prosthetic and orthotic clinics we offer a wide range of solutions. At our clinics you will be fitted with high quality products and services which are a trademark of the Ottobock brand.

NHS Clinic Locations.

In the UK, some Prosthetic and Orthotic services are outsourced to medical care providers such as Ottobock. In these centres, known as Disablement Service Centres, we work closely with NHS managers, Occupational Therapists, Rehabilitation teams, Physiotherapists and Consultants to serve prosthetic and orthotic users on behalf of the NHS. While some centres are operated by Ottobock, our products are available at all NHS limb centres across the UK, regardless of the service provider.

Through national NHS policies such as the Microprocessor Knee (MPK) policy and the Multi-Grip Hand policy, eligible users may also be able to access advanced prosthetic technologies, including Ottobock devices, through their local NHS limb centre. These policies aim to ensure that individuals who meet the clinical criteria can benefit from innovative prosthetic solutions, regardless of which clinic provides their care.

Wheelchairs & Custom Seating

Wheelchairs & Custom Seating.

Ottobock wheelchairs and custom seating solutions are available through NHS wheelchair service providers as well as trusted private dealers. Our range includes solutions for both adults and children, designed to support a wide variety of mobility needs and individual requirements.

Wheelchairs.

In the UK, wheelchair services are typically provided through NHS Wheelchair Services or through private specialist providers. These services assess individual mobility and seating needs and provide appropriate wheelchair and postural support solutions.

Within NHS Wheelchair Services, Ottobock works closely with clinicians, including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Rehabilitation teams and Wheelchair Service managers to support wheelchair users with appropriate mobility and seating solutions. While some services may be delivered by external providers, Ottobock wheelchairs are available through many NHS services across the UK.

In addition to NHS provision, Ottobock wheelchairs are also available through private providers and specialist dealers who have received specialised training from Ottobock to assess, configure and provide our mobility and solutions.

Custom Seating.

Specialist seating services in the UK are provided through NHS Wheelchair Services or by external medical care providers. Clinicians such as Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Rehabilitation teams and Wheelchair Service managers work together to assess postural and mobility needs and deliver appropriate seating solutions.

Ottobock works closely with these clinical teams to design and create custom seating systems to optimise comfort, posture and functional independence. While services may be delivered by a range of providers, Ottobock custom seating solutions are available through many NHS Wheelchair Services across the UK.

If you are interested in learning more about our range of custom seating solutions, please contact our team by emailing seating@ottobock.com.
