Showering, swimming in the sea or playing with kids in the water. The new 4R57&#61;WR waterproof rotation adapter is connected to the leg prosthesis above the knee. It can be triggered quickly and easily whenever required to make the movement situation easier, for example when putting on shoes, crossing your legs or driving. Users know how free they feel when they regain the ability to make pivot and rotation movements with the knee joint thanks to this small, inconspicuous adapter.
The 4R57&#61;WR waterproof rotation adapter is approved for a body weight of up to 166 kilograms and is available in two versions. It can also be combined with the Genium X3, the 3R80 and 3WR95 prosthetic knee joints, for example, which are also waterproof. After a leg amputation, patients want to ensure that they can resume their usual everyday activities under the best possible conditions even with a prosthesis. This primarily requires the ability to perform turning and rotation movements of the knee joint. Ottobock has developed a rotation adapter for this purpose which makes everyday life easier for you in a number of ways. Next to sitting in comfort, activities such as putting on socks and shoes or driving a car are more convenient as well. For example, you can swing your prosthesis out of the way while driving, which not only provides more space in the footwell but also prevents the prosthetic foot from getting caught in the area of the pedals. Furthermore, the rotation adapter allows you to cross your legs and even sit cross-legged.
The 4R57 rotation adapter is approved for a body weight of up to 150 kilograms and is now also available in a waterproof version. Your orthopaedics specialist will be happy to advise you regarding your specific requirements.

Patients need a prosthesis that gives them as much mobility as possible so they can lead an independent everyday life again after an amputation. In particular, the focus should be on relieving the entire musculoskeletal system by minimising impact stress. Uncontrolled impacts can, for example, lead to compression at various points in the locomotor system. The resulting symptoms often lead to so-called pain avoidance reactions.
The DeltaTwist shock absorber counteracts this chain of reactions. Recreational sports activities become possible again, along with more freedom of movement in confined spaces in particular. This lets you pay more attention to those around you in your everyday life, rather than having to concentrate solely on getting about. Your O&amp;P professional will be happy to advise you regarding the individually adjustable shock absorption feature and rotation flexibility of the adapter.

Would you like to change clothes quickly or do you just want to take off your prosthetic foot and/or knee joint during a longer train or plane journey? Switching from your everyday life to a sports prosthesis or from one prosthetic foot to the next? No problem. Unscrew the Quickchange and pull off the foot or knee joint. After removing the prosthetic components, you can easily reconnect them to the rest of the prosthesis.

The patented KISS lanyard systems are used for fixation in the transfemoral socket. Thanks to the unique combination of the proximal and distal connection between the socket and liner, pistoning and rotational movements are reduced.
The KISS can be put on while sitting down, making it suitable for users with low mobility grades.
