Discovery Wheelbase
The Discovery is one of the UK's most popular wheelbases due to it's stability and adaptability. Even under high weight bearing load, the Discovery is easy to handle because the rotation point of the seat tilt is placed close to the front of the wheelbase, and as a result, your seating system can be easily tilted up to 35° using the gas compression springs. The narrow width of the Discovery aids it's manoeuvrability.
Different seating systems can be used with the Discovery wheelbase and the entire back can be adjusted to varying shells, the angle of the back rest which can be changed with the ratchet mechanism. In addition various adapters and footrest designs can be incorporated making the Discovery flexible to your needs.

This service is available either through a NHS Wheelchair Service or Private Clinics. All of our custom seating units are manufactured at our site in Leeds where our skilled engineers work alongside our Clinical Seating Specialists.
