Lower Limb Definitive Socket Packages.

Ottobock offers a broad range of central fabrication options to support your lower limb prosthetic business. Our technicians have the experience and expertise to craft devices from transtibial to transpelvic levels, using the highest quality materials and components Ottobock has to offer.

We offer two lower limb definitive socket fabrication packages:

  1. Single-walled lamination

  2. Double-walled lamination 

Both packages include:

  • Plaster fill and positive mold set up

  • Alignment transfer

  • External shuttle lock or adapter set up

  • Distal end pad

  • Standard lamination materials

  • Laminated frame and finishing

Transfemoral definitive sockets

Ottobock also offers definitive fabrication of user-adjustable sockets using Click Medical RevoFIT adapters. This socket technology can offer your patients unrivaled customization in their daily fit, simply with the twist of a dial. We will be happy to discuss specific socket designs with you to ensure the best outcome for your patient.

What is required for a definitive socket?

Well-fitting, aligned test socket with

  • No further modifications required

  • Clearly marked trim lines for:

    • Flexible inner socket 

    • Rigid external frame

    • Any windows, if desired

  • Clearly marked alignment lines

  • Clearly marked locations for:

    • Valves

    • Locks

    • Lanyards (including distal exit and proximal attachment points)

    • Internal pads/materials
